All of our software is digitally signed
Before you install any software from the Botanic Gardens of South Australia, it's important that you know how we are helping keep you safe from viruses, malware and other malicious software.
Internet users increasingly need assurance that they can trust programs downloaded from the Internet. Our Code Signing Certificate, issued by Certum - a world-wide leader in digital security and certification, gives you assurance that our software has not been compromised by malicious software. There are two important ways that Code Signing increases trust:
- Authentication. Verifying who the author of the software is.
- Integrity. Verifying that the software hasn’t been tampered with since it was signed.
All program downloaded from the Botanic Gardens of South Australia are digitally signed. This is your assurance that your software hasn’t been changed by a hacker in the process of downloading it.
